Can I transfer my email from my existing provider?

Yes - the Google Mail service includes a range a tools to help you migrate your existing accounts and inbox. We can do this for you as part of the initial deployment and configuration or you can do yourselves

Does my email and website have to be with the same provider?

No - as long as you have access to your domain you can have your website and email hosted by separate companies. At versatilia we can provide competitive and affordable hosting for both but appreciate that sometimes moving both may be more trouble than it is worth. 

Who has control of my domain?

It should be your company however in many cases your domain is either owned or managed by the company that originally set up your website. Using the Who Is service it is possible to get the details of where your domain is registered and you are then legally entitled to all the access details. We will help you manage any domain transfer free of charge but many ISPs will make an admin charge if you wish to transfer your domain (usually £25)

Can I have webmail & desktop email?

Yes - one of the key benefits of the IMAP service is that your mailbox is held on the server so even if you download messages to your inbox they will still be available in your webmail

Can I collect my email on my mobile?

Yes - there is no need to purchase expensive additional services the Google Mail service includes full support for push emails on both Blackberry, iPhone and Android phones. Calendar and Address book integration is also included

What support is available?

You can either get support direct from Google or take out a email support agreement direct with Versatilia - whatever suits you best

How is email integrated with Datasite?

Email & Calendar can be accessed via the Business Control panel and contact emails are synchronised between your email client and customer on datasite. The Informant client also includes hot keys to create orders and forms in datasite directly from the email

Can I use the email hosting with Outlook?

Yes - there is no problem with continuing to use Outlook as your email client if that is what you prefer. You may like to take a look at our which email client should I use page as well
